Today we took an excursion to the Ireland countryside to a place called the Wicklow Mountains! Man, this was the most gorgeous day ever. I wish my camera could accurately capture what my eyes saw because I am going to dream of the sites I saw forever.
Important note…there are Irish gypsy villages in the countryside!! Their motto is “no one owns the land, the land owns itself.” So they just travel around everywhere and have been doing this for thousands of years.
We also went to Glendalough where there are mountains and scenic grassy fields with a lake running through it all! We climbed around the area and took a million pictures. What a breathtaking and peaceful scene to be in. This excursion really helped me feel alive. I was so nauseous this morning without water or a good breakfast. But just breathing in the oxygen and pumping it through my body as we climbed and walked everywhere really instilled life in me again.
Then we traveled to the Powerscourt Garden House which literally took my breath away. It was a HUGE property with the brightest and greenest grass I’ve ever seen. Flower gardens, gorgeous green woodsy paths were everywhere with a stone castle from centuries ago! I got amazing pictures here and really really enjoyed this visit. The sun finally came out today as it always rains in Ireland. This was such a beautiful way to end my time in Dublin.
