I am a pasta lover. Always have and always will be. Since moving to DC, I’ve bought a package or two of pasta for the nights I am lazy and want a quick, effortless, and delicious meal.
Introducing the One Pan Garlic Parmesan Pasta: Courtesy of Yellow Bliss Road’s blog. This is a melt-in-your-mouth (somewhat healthier) take on my all-time favorite dish Fettuccine Alfredo, and all you do is throw the ingredients in ONE pan!
One Pan Garlic Parmesan Pasta
Get the Goods
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp minced garlic
- 2 tbsp butter
- 8 oz dry Capellini noodles (or Fettuccine for thicker pasta)
- 2 cups low-sodium chicken stock
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp pepper
- 1 cup nonfat milk (I used organic whipping cream)
- ½ cup Parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp dried parsley leaves
Just a Few Steps
1. In a large pot, heat olive oil and add garlic. Stir and cook until garlic turns brown. Add salt, pepper, butter, chicken stock, milk and pasta noodles. Stir and bring to a boil.
2. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 15 minutes or until pasta is tender.
3. Remove from heat, toss pasta, and stir in Parmesan cheese. Sprinkle parsley on top. Divide into bowls and serve hot.
SOO yummy! Give it a try and you’ll be hooked!
