Homemade pesto sauce couldn’t be easier (or tastier). Toss it with your favorite pasta noodles, or slab it on your favorite bread!
You should never ever buy pre-made pesto sauce at the grocery store (yuck). My adorable, 4' 11" Italian grandmother would be disappointed in you.
Homemade pesto sauce
Serves 2-4, depending on how much pasta you use
Get the Goods
- 1 cup fresh basil leaves
- 2 tablespoons pine nuts
- 1 garlic clove, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (plus extra for topping off pasta)
- 1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Just a Few Steps
1. Put all ingredients in a food processor and blend until smooth.
DONE! Seriously, you have to give it a try. You'll wish you never tortured your taste buds with store-bought pesto sauce (GROSS).
