show me your world

i have never fallen in love with a city before. nyc doesn’t do it for me, so i denied myself exposure to any other city…until now. DC is so different from any place i’ve ever been. i look around at the buildings, the monuments, the people, the parks and benches, the open roads for cryin out loud and i can’t. stop. smiling. that’s a sign to me that my path is gonna take me to this city.

we toured all day today and got to hear from 3 different professionals within the executive branch of the federal government.

that’s the Eisenhower Executive Office Buidling. (photo cred to my girl kelsey shultz) it is right next to this lovely place called the WHITE HOUSE.

anyways, the EEOB is SO MASSIVE and so so gorgeous. the architecture in this city is blowing my mind. when i look at the capitol, supreme court, white house, and the eeob, i feel like im looking at history. im looking at america at it’s core. my purpose in life is to be in this field. policy. politics. change. i feel it in me, it resonates so highly with me.

premonitions like these, like i feel everyday in this place serve as a RED ALERT in my vision for my future. i’m meant to do this stuff. and i can’t wait to see where i will go. so many things to do, and all of my life to do it.
