Today, we left Switzerland and traveled by bus for a LONG time. After stopping in Pisa for an hour (where I bought my wine tasting flowy hat..pictures to follow…) we finally arrived in Florence to what would soon be the absolute WORST hotel on the face of planet Earth.
Don’t get me wrong: Our location was awesome because we were in central Florence. HOWEVER, when you climb 3 sets of stairs to reach the actual hotel, and then you walk into your room to find dirty beds, non-existant water pressure, yellow sink water, towels that felt like pieces of looseleaf paper (Nicole’s words lol), and a dusty fan to air the room out, you have actually hit ROCK bottom. Nicole, Cara, and I were saying how we would’ve rather stayed in a jail cell. Literally. But hey it’s Europe and we’re broke soooo who can complain.
We had another 25 euros UNLIMITED WINE NIGHT dinner ahead of us, so we just focused on that! We got all dressed up again in wedges and walked to the restaurant. It was an Italian place, obvs, with a big back room to fit all 40 of us. My crew from Paris was reunited - Cara, Meg, Zoe and myself. Making eye contact while cheersing glasses and acting goofy was so much fun!
Afterwards we headed out to a club called Space. It was weird the way you pay there - instead of at the door or bar you get a card punched for every drink you have, and when you leave you can pay with cash or credit. I only spent 22 euros the entire night - even though I spilt my Red Bull and vodka on the bar. I took that as a sign that I shouldn’t be drinking anymore haha.
But aside from the spillage, I had SO much fun!! Alexis entered a booty shaking competition (YES, this really happened), but got stuck with a bad song so she only scored 6/10 :( She should’ve won! It was so funny that everyone screaming and cheering her on! The music was great all night. There were lasers and strobe lights too which I loved. These clubs clearly know that Americans have an obsession with EDM right now, so going out in Europe has been really great for me (and I honestly didn’t think I’d be a fan of clubbing).
