Blog: Cooking with krij

If you're thinking "who is Krij," it's me! It was my college nickname and rhymes with fridge. A funny story for when we become friends.

Peanut Butter and Banana Waffles

July 29, 2014

his simple, quick, and delicious breakfast creation is another one of those life-changing recipes Chelcie put in my meal plans recently.

I love this because the peanut butter fills me up more than plain butter on a bagel, and the banana slices are a great way to have fruit in the morning. And putting waffle slices (or English Muffins) in a toaster for a few minutes requires almost-zero effort. Just don’t burn them.

Waffles with Peanut Butter and Bananas

Serves 1-2

Get The Goods

  • 2 frozen waffles, or 1 English Muffin
  • Your favorite peanut butter
  • ½ banana, sliced

Just a Few Steps

1. Place waffles or English Muffins in a toaster or toaster oven on med-high heat for about 3-5 minutes. Watch closely so they don’t burn! Just a little crunchy is my favorite.

2. Cut the banana into thin slices.

3. Smother peanut butter on your warm, toasted creation. Then place the banana slices on top.

Can you think of other toppings for these waffles? Show me with your #CookingWithKrij photos on Instagram!
