red wine and motivation

forgot to blog today…but damn i love being around these people.

“if i can spread the message that i believe in, then that is all that matters” - Corinne O'Conner (friend on my trip)

dude our generation is gonna take over the nation and that is the mother fucking truth. give the millennials 10 years. and this country is gonna be in great hands. our generation has such potential and the sooner we all realize this the sooner our world will head in a brighter direction. speak up - our voice matters

social media strategies

who knew that social media would blow up so much that adults would need professional trainings on how to follow people on twitter and how to promote facebook pages…

i sat in on some awesome meetings today at work and got myself involved in a social media campaign that encourages members of Congress to sit together at the President’s State of the Union Address on January 24th, rather than divided by their party lines. i get to come up with hashtag ideas and how to promote this campaign via twitter and they call this my job at the internship…..awesome!!

i love the people i’m meeting here, from the office and my roommates. got to relax and hang with my roommates/housemates tonight. caught up on some great south park episodes and ate the tastiest nutter butter cookies, ever.

it’s wednesday night, so you should all know what that means…at least in the hollywoodz. so yeah, i laughed so hard tonight i was crying!!

man, it is good to feel alive

i have a cubicle and a computer

so mistake number one of the day happened about 30 seconds after i left my place…i wore heels. had to walk to union station, work, and back IN HEELS. and in the frigid wind. wearing ma boots forever from now on..since i’m such a pro-businesswoman now.

the 10-6 shift i had today at my internship really flew by. everyone at the office was mad nice and i was busy doing your typical intern busy work. i felt official when i walked in with my very own computer, chair, and email address. my title is Kristin Fretz, Communications Intern :)

pinkberry godliness for lunch (froyo diet prevails)

never have i ever cooked on a gas stove before…cool

as i was walking home from work i couldn’t stop smiling at the capitol and the supreme court and how lit up they were, they were GLOWING.

this city is so much calmer than new york, everyone here has a purpose, and i can’t help but sense my love for this place already. doesn’t feel intimidating in the slightest. even though it should right? im less than a ¼ mile fromCONGRESS, and about a couple metro stops away from the PRESIDENT

yet i still have no fear..hmmm
