Blog: Cooking with krij

If you're thinking "who is Krij," it's me! It was my college nickname and rhymes with fridge. A funny story for when we become friends.

Hershey M&M Pretzel Hugs

February 3, 2015

This sweet and salty combo is beyond perfection, and the swirled Hershey instantly melts in your mouth.

Theoretically, you could put any piece of candy on the melted hershey, but the bright colors of M&Ms (or red and green during the holidays) make these delicious hugs look so cute.

They ONLY take 15 minutes! How great?!

Hershey M&M Pretzel Hugs

Serves 5-8 people (depending on how much you selfishly consume)

Get the Goods

  • 1 large bag of waffle pretzels (the butter kind is great too)
  • 1 bag of chocolate M&Ms (or your favorite kind)
  • 2 bags Hershey hugs (white and milk chocolate swirls)

Just a Few Steps

1. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper. Fill baking sheet with as many pretzels as you can in one layer.

2. Unwrap the hugs and place 1 hug on top of each pretzel.

3. Bake at 170 degrees for 4-6 minutes, or until hugs have melted to cover most of the pretzel.

4. Remove from oven and gently place an M&M on each pretzel. Refrigerate for 15-20 minutes to set.

After making my first batch, I was wishing I had doubled it so I could eat more! How many did you make? Did they come out perfect or not quite right? Let me know in the comments! #cookingwithkrij
